Yee Be Warned Spoilers ahead...

AHhhhhhhhh hmm this is a mixed feeling after watching Bond. I love Bond. I think everyone does. Including my parents and a lot of aunties la also like bond (including M) because last time Bond is handsome. And just for the record. M do like bond.

I am not sure if M likes the new Bond because he just not handsome enough, But Still, Bond is Bond and Bond will always be Bond. Or is it? I love the show because it is so raw like Bond is so imperfect (except for the parachute part) And he bleeds OH MY GOSH. And oh so human with his human revenge thingies.

Right so what happen in the movie? Most people find it lame and boring and don't really know what was going on. Alright, One have got to watch Casino Royale to fully understand the story of Quantum of Solace (don't ask me what i means. Actually all Bond movie does not have a meaning to its title)

So actually this QoS thing bond is all out to kill the people responsible in killing Vesper (remember the girl that betrayed him in Casino Royale then was killed?)


Er ok not very clear..


Ah this one better but still not clear... Remember the part he almost died because he took some med and revive again? Ah nvm

Anyway so This episode is to hunt down whoever responsible and lead him to the villain himself la. So its all good and inner stuggle and very human. But then I want my BOND!!!

Like you know where's Q? The gadget guy where's the laser watch? where is the bullet pen. Where??? All he gets is a handphone HAHA. And where's the Bond car? Where is the BMW or ASTON MARTIN (actually got la but i missed it) So this are some of the things missing that is so not bond.

And of course the most missing thing that I miss is Bond, James Bond. ARGH!!!! Don't have. This makes it look like some other action flick that Matt Damon was acting in. That's right the Boune series. Jason Bourne... In situation like this I think its better I act in my own version. How bout that? Its a franchise show no doubt. That is why it is ok to do all those Bond James Bond crap again and again and you won't lose your money... LoL

Ah Long Pte Ltd

Lol Today I spend the end of the day in cinema catching Ah Long Pte Ltd. Alone. (that's coz beside andrew, no one's interested in chinese films) (and my girlfriends has no time lol). Anyway the show was awesome super funny. Its 18pl LOL so you get the idea.

You can't have Singaporean movies without having some of the famous actors in this case it is Mark Lee again and also Fann Wong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol I think Fann Wong is great because she is spotting and willing to try all sorts of role! in this case - The TAI LO...

Well of course shooting a gangster flick requires a gangster area and that you can't find in SINGAPORE. So buat la kita bangga sikit la. Yes it is shot in KL (so our country does have its proud moment lol (tia tiuk boh BRADER?)

Funny how they can speak in 3 language all in a show and it is so weird actually because it is the 1st time I see them having cantonese in their show(This show only can sell in M'sia and Sing la) Chinese - Hokkien - Canto - BM - India sama skali woi. Giler ke! The singaporean also have to learn canto so funny la hear them speak in canto!

Anyway I won't spoil too much because it is a great film. Go watch it. I mean it speaks of our culture which is what I like about Jack Neo's film. Maybe there might be a change in Ah Long's society here in Msia haha.

I give it 4 out of 5 star!!

Cuci (Spoiler Warning)

This month can be voted in for movie month. I watched like so many movies which I don't normally do anymore because of busyness. This also can be said as the 1st Malay movie I watched in cinema. And the 2nd Malay movie I watched in my life (1st was Sepet) So I don't really know why but this show attracted me. Maybe it is because of the poster.

So bright eh? Story wise, it is a great script but some part a little too draggy and off focused. Some part too elaborate. But overall it is a great movie to catch to relax off. A truly Malaysian show. I like how they potray our culture well. Like for a part, they asked an Indian but with Chinese accent talking in Malay it is so funny. The Indian even had an Chinese name and how the part where he said one sentence "Lu boleh join itu COMPETITION. Competition lu tak paham. KOMPETISI tau?" AHAHAHAHA

Anyway the synopsis is this. They are a local regular shop window washer that had a dream and goal of washing the windows of KLCC twin tower. But the license of KLCC window washer was granted to international window washers. And the twist can throw you off your chair haha.

One thing they can do is include the subtitles. YES no subtitles of any sorts. I think they should broaden their scope of target audience to non Malays. Have more trailers etc. If not their scope is only for the Malays which will not propel our industri forward. The show isn't hard to follow by me but Joleen find it hard to catch.

Catch it! But do expect you're the only non-Malay in the hall ;)

Cloverfield nice can?

Hate it. Love it. You'll remember it for a long long time. Motion sickness warning from me. ;) But I liked how they break the norm and done something different than those big budget movies. The entire show was shot with this (pic below) and with no tripod or anything

I was expecting something smaller oh well It is still much like a better camcorder. I suspect they turn off the Optical Image Stabilizer (which the camera has). For the 1st few minutes of the show I hated it because it is swaying too much. Maybe a different person holding the camera. After 5 ten minutes it is alright for me but not my comrades.

If you like a new experience, go watch it. I liked it in the end because I held camcorder before and i know how unstabil it is. I begin to adapt to it without knowing it and also the weirdest thing is that I actually able to visualized the camera man's movement with the camera like he is shooting the ground, what angle he is holding on. It is like you're him. Complicated? Yeap hahaha.

I like how the camera responds to things it is so like a camera esp the film grain, shooting at night, night vision, zoom, and focusing. Crazy like my camera can? If you like photography, watch it too.

All in all it is an experimental I would say different feel show. The only lacking thing is that the chairs aren't moving. So go watch it if you have no problems with motions. Or you play lots of CS, Half life, Quake yea you get what I mean.

And oh don't expect like a story kind of story just enjoy as it is. ;) I give 4 out of 5 for experience

Amazing Race 12 (spoiler warning)

There are only a handful of amazing race series that I have completed. I love amazing race for the fact that you get to know a bit of culture in different parts of the world. The camera views are good. And of course you get to see the true nature of human being when being 'threaten' or in a do or die competition.

Don't expect to like a new season right away, you got to keep watching until at least epi5/6 to get you into the loop for the team/s you support. In other words the team grew with you. And this season round. The team I supported won the race! TK and Rachel! So far this is the 2nd team that I supported so badly won.

The best part is I have not seen them arguing with each other throughout the race while other teams have. The previous team I supported too don't argue at all. Goofing all the way to the finish line.

So.. here's the winner for this season!

Drama Week

I could not remember when was the last time I watched a TVB (hong kong) drama series. It was probably at least 5 years I did not watch Cantonese drama because I think it is too predictable, same actors, different stories, same plot.

Years after that, and writers' strike in the west has left almost all western drama to an halt. And Japanese drama rarely comes by so I decided to try TVB again. I tried the shows from astro on demand and tried to watch Wars of in law II WHOA.... While they have different lead actors, the setting is mostly the same. The old actors of course still in, and the KELIFEs are still the same.

At the same time I also watch Words twisters' adventures. Which I say is also pretty much the same, but a bit 'no-logic' which is quite a different turn as to how TVB don't expand into that area. It is sort of like Xing-Ye (but not so kua cheong) kind of movie. And the best thing is probably few of my favourite actors are on it. Jordan Chan, Charmaine Cheh, Yuen Wah...

They still the same old visual effects. Fake painted skies with too fake lighting especially when they are on the roof. (oh its a movie in ancient time) And of course, not ancient movie is complete with at least one scene of broken, super run down, lots of spider web Chinese temple. Haha

Nah its not all bad. I am glad that most series now have shrink in length. Mostly every series is about 20 epi. Compare to last time at least easily 40. Thus no real dragginess. I am VERY VERY relief to see that there's so far no TRIANGLE LOVE (which would take at least 10 epi to solve) And so far and I am really amaze that I haven't seen the "100% coincidence-accidental miss" scenes. Like you know... One lift door open one close... Both crossing road but too crowded so they miss... One at the bridge one below... You know what I mean. GOOOOOD!

As for now, while collecting the rest of Wars of in laws, I am not gonna watch drama this week and clear my backlogs... piling -_-" anyone wants any drama?
