I've just came back from APYAC. My 1st full conference. It has been quite exuberant. Receiving lots and lots.
There's 29 countries represented and it's just crazy even just thinking about it. I was truly touch by their numbers a lot especially those from the oppressed nation like Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan. Their testimonies and all are just crazy to even think of it. For those who have been to the Indochina, you've probably see how oppressed it is there. Everything seems to be under the power of Darkness.
It has just been crazy. Revival will start with them in their nations I believe. And Malaysia better buck up or we'll loose out. Frankly speaking, I think at this stage in point we are too arrogant as a nation as a whole. Those testimonies that were given out truly have bless me.
Oh Lord, Set us Free!
Church Music
This is seriously one arty album. It's worth to pay extra if needed. Beside D: I guess I love DC*B as well. David Crowder is a nerd + geek. Good thing though, he is also a musician.
I love listening to albums as an album. I hate it when I have to shuffle between songs because frankly I am an OCD when it comes to music. I like listening to album as it is. Arranged according to it's tracklisting as the band wants you to hear. Let's put it this way. You won't want to read a chapter of a book and jump to another book read a chapter and jump to another book right? That is how it is with me and music.
The 1st time I heard Church Music I was hooked. It was like continuous all 76minutes of it. Track to Track. The last time they did this was in A-Collision where the album tells a whole story though David compared it to illuminate which is also quite accurate and it's like relating science to God and stuff in them which was pretty crazy.
Church Music isn't just any typical Church Music. It's full of electro rock as typical as DC*B is but more than that. It just tries to redefine Church Music.
The thing I like about DC*B is that he doesn't just write music for the sake of writing. He is a true artiste. The 1st half of the song all contains the statement 'being near to God', 'draw us nearer' In fact the the album start with the song call 'Phos Hilaron [Hail Gladdening Light]' which is like the oldest hymm that was ever in record that is still being sung today in old churches in which researchers say it is probably from the 2nd century.
The whole album is like a 'journey' sort. Think of it as reading a book, you won't get the full picture until you finish the whole book. You can't jump track either or else you'll get bits and pieces but not the whole story.
I have always wondered how they write songs which has been confirmed by this statement which I was right
Before we make a record, we sit down and make all the rules about it. We build an outline of what we want it to do, and then we follow the outline,” Crowder says. “That would be one of the structures that we followed, a traditional, orthodox church setting. He is also word geek which probably plays boggle a lot haha. All the track thus far have been really quite creative and oh and check out this explanation about the song call 'Eastern Hymm'
we have reached the Middle Ages where the Pope has banned the tri-tone, the dreaded tri-tone - augmented fourth, diminished fifth - and declared it the Devil's interval. And in the chorus, granted you'd have to know music theory to catch most of the historical content but, the chorus sits on top of a tri-tone movement in the baseline, and it functions like a movement of four to five, but it's really an inversion of the five to four. It's a tri-tone.I mean seriously. How can you not respect someone that goes that deep... into writing songs. Simply Genius. I have never encounter anyone that treats an album like a story book. It's just so abstract. You know.
There's a full lenghty interview which could get quite deep in Jesusfreakhideout.com I just love this album and it gotten a 5/5 for me I'd rate it 10/5!
All in all there's tons to unpack and everytime I hear them I'll unpack a little and it is just so rich as an album. It's like crazy.
----------------------
In a semi-related note...
Because I listen to an album as a whole, it explains why I sometimes dislike certain artiste especially secular artiste. If I decide to follow a band, there must be a reason beyond musical taste. It has to be what they stand for... Sadly most of the artiste today stands for nothing but partying and sex.
it's not hard to find out what they stand for just listen to the entire album. you'll find out. Sometimes one song is nice doesn't mean they are nice. A classic example is Jason Mraz. I like his tune his singing and lyrics even but a listen through the album you'll find lyrics that are really 18sx max which is why I ditch his album as well.
Paranoid? yes. Reason? Standards.

And I've gotten a Fairlady Z
The Fairlady Z is one of my favourite car design of all times because it is just so sweet to look at. It's very sleek yet mean at the same time. Well, today, I got it!

My colleague gave it to me as Christmas present after borrowing it to me. It's an awesome micro RC that's like slightly bigger than a Ping Pall ball. It's cute too when it moves.
I got into the mood of shooting it after playing with it and decided to shoot it with my 50mm Pentacon at f6.3 and it is kinda awesome! I think though I frankly think it's not well calibrated! Oh well.
And oh heads up to my Kevin's revived blog at http://wimi.blogspot.com which you can see many of his cute baby picutre with me in it as well.

Finally, the end is here.
It is still unbelievable. The night has finally come.
It is very unreal. So unreal. It's probably more unreal than MJ has passed away.

Delirious has closed the book. They have bowed off their final show and they have certainly ran a good race. 17 years!
I've been to 3 shows in which one was held here. That was the massive of all. It's so awesome. The final leg of the tour has just ended. Delirious is one of the best, most talented Christian band out there that walks a fine line between church music and secular-ish music and they are very good in doing that. I would say it's impossible to ever replace them. Afterall it would have taken anyone a good 17 years
All these years of chasing their albums has finally end (wait. Not quite. There's still a couple more albums I have yet to get which includes their last tour which just ended).

I have fallen over and over their music. Wait! Where the heck is my NITT album!!! Sorry that has been missing in the picture. And Kim has given me the Audio Lessonover album (2nd row last album) a couple of days back and I was just enjoying the weirdness of it and now T.T
All these years I bought a lot of album in which some are special packaging which most of them has not seen a CD player(which explains why I have double of their albums) and No less thanks to Doulous that I got lots of Singles for RM2 each!!! woot!
Good music should be invested no? I love them to bits. The most I've listen through on an album is Access:D my iTunes record a whooping 100+ at a time. ;)
That said and done. Thank You Delirious for the influence in my life all these years starting with History Maker in the year 1995 and all the way till today the song is still stuck in my head and all the way to My Soul Sings. Love you guys to bits!
Anyway here's Martin's words.

Anyway here's Martin's words.
I’m sitting at home, bleary eyed, slightly shell shocked, just taken the children to school. There is a strange sound of ‘quiet’ in the house. So quiet I can hear the kettle boiling. Mary our 2 year old is completely unaware of this pivotal moment in our family's history and is happy just bouncing on my un-opened suitcase.-end-
Last night was the end of an era. The last Delirious? Show. What can I say. It was awesome, sad, happy, definitive. One can never correctly adjudicate ones emotions at times like this but I feel at peace. I feel joy. I feel like I’ve completed an assignment.
On behalf of Stu G, Tim, Jon, and Paul I’d like to say thankyou. Thankyou for 17 years. Thankyou for allowing us to be part of this great movement across the planet.
Delirious? have made some good records, played in some incredible places around the world, written some great songs but.. It was never about us, it was always about you.
Ordinary but extraordinary people who joined together across denominations, against our prejudices, our fears. People who have stood together in the face of adversity.
And WE have become a voice that speaks out for the oppressed, for those who do not have a voice. We too became a voice that sings ‘God’ songs that shake the earth. And friends, we will continue to shake the earth. Just never stop singing.
Psalm 23 has been with me this week;
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodnes and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Fabula Est Vestri. The story is yours.
This is not the end but a fantastic beginning. A new season, a new day. Delirious? finishes here but the people movement of historymakers goes on forever.
I'm calling you to stand up, to be people of courage who will run this race till the end. To be men and women of God.
Historymakers, let's be this voice and sing a song of adoration, of victory, of praise, a song of LOVE. Love will always find a way to break through.
As Anna brings a cup of tea, we share a tear, a smile, an uncertainty over the future. We join with all of you who are going through shift, change, transition. It’s in transition that we find out who we really are and what we are living for.
Time to put the L plates back on and get back to Sunday school, another curve of learning has just begun.
See you all on the otherside.

Boys sucked at getting sick.
Yeah. Every male will agree. We hate being sick and we can't take care of ourselves. and when we're sick, we'll look for our mom. Although our GF could also be our mom or some sort. But yeah you got the point.

So a way to a man's heart is to attend to him when he's sick. Got that?

4 and etc etc etc
Many of you did not know but this is in. Today is the date that we've been 'officially' together for 4 years now and it is just an awesome experience and one long journey full of joy, sorrow, love, pain, growth.
No relationship is easy and it always take 2 hands to clap. So thank you for going through all those hardships with me and thank you for all the care and love and everything that you've gave me done for me and so on. I hope I did my part in clapping and I know you did yours.
I love you, Jo.
Horatio Caine
I love CSI tv show especially CSI:Miami because of Horatio. Now they say to be the best you learn from the best. I love Horatio simply because he is cool and more like an S type of personality which is calm and stabil.
What is NOT to like when you are cool, drives a hummer, look away when talking and putting on sun glasses and using all one-liners and walks away before others can answer?. When you watch all of the open of CSI you'll know just look at this compilation. You'll get sick
Oh look what I've found
That was totally SPOT ON! Good job Jim!
I can do this all day~
Besides that. I love Horatio because he has a combination of D and S type of personality. He always act fast and sure will get to the bottom of the case but at the same time he is calm. Awesome!
He is also super good at convincing kids. Every episode with a kid in it will definitely have him talking to the kid. They always felt calmer whenever he talked to them and sure enough corporate with him.
What makes a leader so convincing? I guess it's by the way he conduct himself at the appropriate time. Very rarely you see Horatio screamed at someone or raise his voice. It's like he always know what to do. Always.

Joleen's Birthday
Now, I know some of you wondered what I bought for Joleen. I bought her this

The LeSportSac Lily. Erm I don't know what series is this though. But LeSportSac is kinda like the niche market and only certain group of people knows how to really appreciate it. And I wish they'd have more of them around.
I bought this in one of 2 LeSportSac in Malaysia which is in Alamanda! =)
**Update: Oh it's a purse if you must ask...

Joleen's Birthday
So 25th of October is actually her birthday. As a good Fiance I just bring here wherever she wanted to.

We went Pavilion 1st because she was earlier than expected

We watched the Inglorious Basterds. I absolutely love this show. I love WW2 stories. Because they are well cleverly played.

Ok Camwhore abit.

I decided to bring her to erm what's this place call. Munakata in erm some complex that looks really old. Bangunan Life Building Somewhere along Jalan Sultan Ismail

I got to know this place from some blog. After randomly searching. I love random food places. The thing was, It suppose to have Ala Carte Buffet Jap food RM54++ per person.
When we got there though, they say they don't have buffet because they ran out of stock. Wooooooot? Sulks. Anyway We ordered some Shabu Shabu Beef Buffet in the end.

While waiting. This place is not famous at all. It is quite a hidden jem I would say. Place is not decorated, Simple Renovation.
However, there were quite a few Japanese expatriate and workers who would come and have their dinner or just chill out over a cup of sake and papers. So I suppose they food is really up to Japan standard.

Finally... Beef. We ate erm 2 and a half plate of this. =)

Girl Cooks?

Must hold something. Beef works!

Their service is top notch.(Except when ordering because they kinda assume you knew there were no buffet, and you're a regular) With their Kimono on, they'd check on you most of the time and she cooked porridge for us (that's the finale of steamboat?)
Anyway, if you'd like to try. Here's the map http://bit.ly/munakata
Ok onward we go. So we hit Lookoutpoint after the dinner because she haven't been there.

Tada.
Because there's not much to do beside looking at the hazy KL, We camwhored a lot and posed a lot WHOOHOO!

Always must start with this

Gotta keep track of pose. With names of course

No idea why the name but yea

Kiddish

This has to make the cut! This is official. I know carmen don't read my blog (or is it?) So whoever that can get her to comment on my blog with your name in the comments is gonna win 1x McFlurry! Hey car!

I kinda like this shot.

If you merge Michael Jackson and Mary Poppins

This was fun

I bought her flowers

Er no actually the flowers were from the cafe. Haha she shot this BTW

Due to unavailability of GPS I relied on my Google Map and wanted to throw the phone away. It is horrible ESP with it's horrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaandous 3G

Haha

You guys are like stocking me or addicted to plurk. Replying at lightning speed is WHOA. just WHOA.
Ok That's it. I shall update to facebook soon. When I erm feel like it. So you guys got exclusive view to the photos!
