Bali Finale

I know, I can't tahan liao la. Looking at my limited pics lol. I decided to up everything on one go now lol. I think got 16 pictuers. Alright let's get Bali frenzy.

After the rather okay dolphin watch, we got back to the resort and think... hmm, what should we do? And say, why don't we make it to the town and beach in KUTA. Takan come here never go there right? OK let's go. SO there you go another 3 and a half hour of van ride to the city. (not to mention another 3 1/2 back and also 3 1/2 the next morning to the airport)

Again we see some same same scenery along the way. Yeah... you get me...

Ok we got a little tour and we stopped by UBUD 1st (it's where all the art stuff are... esp wood carving stuff, sorry no pic. I know i was....)

Ok I got this picture while walking

Nice rite?

This makes me laugh Haha. I know I know I shouldn't laugh at them. But really good service. In Malaysia don't have this

We make our final stop here in UBUD market, To be honest, It is just like Terengganu market or a outdoor version of Central Market = nothing special. Move along

After that we ate some very nice meesedap by the road side and head towards Kuta, I love Kuta, We stop by some shopping mall call sunrise I think because that was part of the package. Haha. It looks like Fajar la. But I got some very cool shirts from there which you see me always wear.

Anyhow, evening come and we hit the beach

This is the 2nd most popular beach in Bali... No strong waves here but a lot family here came here to chill and play whatever like this

My most treassured shot. I think this shot speaks 1000 words.

Hmm you know pictures like this turns out to be very lomo-like Haha

This is one of my 'failed' projects. You know I wanted to plant "GRYP" everywhere? Actually I never did start this before. But let's see how many of you want to do this project. very simple, wear a gryp shirt and hold something in your hand... haha ok moving along

We then move towards Kuta which is the other side of the island, but not too far. There's is only a few rows of shops which all sells expensive surf stuff. This is one rich town honestly.

Because it is geared towards tourism, the place bloooms like mad. It is a total contrast of erm the village.

The beach! Ok. Mood drop liao. got like 100000 people on the beach. Really sien lor to play or what. But yea the surf's up so everyone's surfing. Local boys here renting out stuff knows how to speak well especially japanese becuase there are plenty of japs around.

I loiter around until the sun's going down and quickly snap some photos while dad was out somewhere swimming in the ocean. I got no mood for that because of the crowd.

The next day we just headed home. Yes thanks to Air Asia now everyone can go holiday at ease.
And thus end my journey to Bali. Next would be Sydney!!! Lol. banyak tahun delayed ni...

Bali Dolphins

Ah finally got some engine going. Lol Superbusy at work due to pile ups. Anyway, We've finally come to our highlight of the trip (sort of)

Despite my complains that we were super duper far off from the main city, Good news is, there is some attraction here that is seeing wild dolphins... Now I have not seen a tame dolphin so it is still pretty excited thing to do right?

Wrong! We have to wake up like 5a.m. (If you live in the city, you have to depart by cab by 2a.m.) Nice? you bet. And like so coincidentally right, our boat motor have some problem like what? There's like 15 boats or more like from different resort la all left! GOSH! we had on off problems and it wasn't until 15 minutes later we caught on. And the location of the dolphins were like at least 1KM away T.T By that time it is already consider LATE and dolphins are you know going back to the deep already (They comes out in the morning to feed on fishes)

Anyhow, we still manage to see some dolphins, Though they say if we were earlier, there are more in group hunt. And its not like the dolphins do show for you lor. They too busy eating so we have to chase here chase there one lor and so hard to catch. Anyway, here's what they look like

We saw this all the time Yeah that's the tail

This one at least better still... lol got 2 dolphins

This one best can! Haha I love this shot, looks like some kind of whale... Hmm yea lor

I took lots more dolphin but all looks the same... So if you expected some cute dolphin face sorry lor... and if you expected some mid-air jumping dolphin also sorry lor they dun hiu you one. And after that we paid the boatman some more tips and he brought us to see coral fish. Walao. All dead corals. lol

I don't know how he sleep lor. The boat is seriously slim. We sit in then cannot move di. Much like kayak I suppose but really if you lost balance then you get a good dip! lol

Oh ya just to clarify, The resort I live in is not in the paddy field but it is beside the beach. And yes the whole of Bali the beach looks like the one in the photo!! (except Kuta and Sanur beach) MY GOSH. How to enjoy -.- Beside the dolphin trip, I never did walk the beach because it is full of salesmen! -.- Like beli in beli ini murah.... and all trying to snatch business. If you buy from one you got to buy from all AHHHH crap.

Anyway, that's our boat there at the right. Its call.... Dolphin Dreaming. Hmm...

Then I took the opp to shoot some self portrait in our beautiful resort but not nice also lol. What to do this is Film SLR mar hahaha.

This is an Island that loves flowers. Everywhere is flower... more so, flower art, They make good flower art. I say they have sense of art esp colours. It is so nice. (Btw, the flowers are floating above the water) They change design everyday. Man! Such Passion lol

I then notice a nice chopper bike and hop on it and snap a pic of it. LOL.

Oh, we're going to the town next. Yeah a 3 1/2 hour drive to town and come back here for the night. Actually by now, we're used to it already LoL.

Bali cont

Ah so this time the pictures are clearer because I shot it with my alpha instead of scanning it. HAHA weird I know... Anyway this is continuation of day 1. I am sorry there aren't many pic esp this one because I did not intend to blog about it before.

Anyway it must be amazing to recall back what where when I did 2 years ago. I do have good memory LOL. Anyway remember my lake on episode 1? It's call Berdugul lake (I googled) And we took a boat ride around the lake which they say takes 12 minutes for a circumference wor (big rite?)

Here is a resort I don't quite remember the name, but funny thing I took a lot of shot but it didn't turn up hmm. Anyway its a very nice resort 5 star if I not mistaken. In the opposite of the lake. At least 5 minutes to get there by boat.

Walao, the boatmen very keng lor carry polaroid around and ask us if we want to take photo with the resort or not if want he take (I am sure he will charge high for the polaroid) I said dowan lor. Not like I stay in that resort right? somemore we children so old liao take this kind photo also weird weird.

I think he got angry after that (no have extra money) and decided to not go the full circumference of the lake. WAH like that also can. But we didn't say anything lor after he throw us down lagi cham. So visit this lake if you're there... its really huge and beautiful..

We then visited a lot of places all high high, but I don't know for what. But this is the Paddy field that you'll see every 5 minutes. This is one of the better ones I shot. Really alot one ler. No kid you. Well, you won't find people telling you about paddy field in Bali. LOL

We stop by a town right after that and see if we can buy anything. The town is so small that this is almost half the town already. Small right? HAHA

Yea it is imprinted there Deluxe Western Toilets (now you can imagine, what a non deluxe western toilet is) If you can see on the black board it is 5000 rupiahs! that is close to RM2 like the KLCC one. WALAOwei. no need so expensive can. Somemore write there so big. Now I did not enter that toilet because

1) my parents would have kill me
2) i couldn't justify that since I have not entered the Rm2 in KLCC also.

Our last destination is the Air Panas Banjar. This is erm hotspring, but everyone treat it as their public bath. -.- We did went in anyway. And it is really warm. I love warm.

This pic turned out to be not too nice. But yea that's my family and a stranger. Actually in my previous previous bali post, I wrote about him, he is a farmer though only 20+ He did not have money to study after high school..

And thus ended my day 1. We had erm hotel food again I think. That's all for my day. It took one whole day to go through all these (you can inmagine how the travel is like. Hilly, Lakey, etc and still no beach in Bali... next up ->>>> The dolphins!

Bali Part+1

Alright, I shall reblog this with my super old pics taken on film. Sigh. no good scanner so yea this is the best I could go hehe

Alright I did blog about Bali before which you can see from here >>> click <<< Just refer la. For now I'll just blog the 1st half of the 1st day because I am lazy now lol

Now, I did mention that my mom booked the wrong hotel and we're totally stranded in some kind of resort somewhere far from the airport (3 hours drive) and the famous KUTA beach So we got there (resort) pretty late like 11pm like that and pretty much ate something somewhere (can't remember) then went to bed in the resort. I wasn't felling well during the whole trip.

But the next morning we book a tour from the Hotel and roam around Bali's inland like famous places that normal people won't go... haha

So this is actually what it looks like inland, paddy paddy paddy, really a lot of them lor. They must have love rice a lot

1st stop for our tour is the waterfall. yea we have to hike inward like any other waterfall. But the sight is absolutely amazing. The waterfall is HUGE. I mean seriously tall. You just got to wait for that...

Along the way you see shops selling you stuff. ALOT shops lor. And they like you bargain with them.... opening sales = good luck so go in the morning, expect you to get good cheap stuff while kena bombared.

Tada I love this shot very much... So natural la them

I then tried on their hat and that's when I got the taste of their persuading power. Now if you plan to travel to Bali, NEVER EVER GO NEAR the shops even to look unless you plan to purchase something. Else they'll stick to you like the moon stick to the earth.

More Paddys.

And behold... after a long long walk...

Sorry didn't put on a shirt because it was like raining from the place where I stand. The waterfall is really seriously huge and tall. I dare not go any closer because the power of the water was really powerful plus it is so cold and my whole body got wet by taking that pic. But then I look good right?

Our next destination after some driving was some kind of lake. I am not sure what lake is this, maybe I can google it and post it the next one

Yea It has a nice garden and a pura there.

That's it for now. I have no time to scan the pix la T.T Peace out

That's my mom (she insist that I take picture of her showing peace)
T
And so this is tobecontinued in the next post

Ending Sabah

Alright. Sorry for not updating... Been sick and quite busily running around @_@

kkk Let's end this shall we... OK so here are some of the memorable pose of me on top of the mountain

See I got picture proof that I did reach KM 8 and was half dying.

The image behind the RM1 note...

We took another photo while we're at the foothill with our guide Felix... Yea we were all tad tired. So yes we went back at about 9pm then we ate seafood which my T2 battery died Haha (of course la shoot video sure die la)

Next morning, we woke up pretty late and wait for joe who was pretty late... We watch TV at our guest house and then we went here for breakfast. Aiya too many food to post so I just pose one la k

Tada... Taste quite good also...

we then went to Sutera Harbor and gotten ourselves ticketes to Manukan Island and did some snokerling with the jelly fishes. Haha SYOK! This is my 1st time Snokerlling btw. Even though the corals are X_X

K la didn't take snorkelling pics because they want to just go swim and not take picture -.-

Mau balik only want take...

Oh yea! I must superpoke something but I failed. I think the Island is Sayat Sayat

Then we Jalan Jalan around town then hop on the plane back di. This is the philipino market. Byk benda to eat here. Come here to eat their big big fresh fresh prawns and crabs very cheap also. Haha. Blessed la people in Sabah!

Anyway... there done! Let's go Bali next...

The climb - What goes up must.....

Alright here is the final part of the climb. I will be finishing off the Sabah post. (I think 2 more post) within these few days. Been dragging this too long di... sorry. Anyway, this is not to be missed. This is the best episode of all time IMHO esp the 2nd part of the journey hehe...

The Climb - Part 2

This is the continuation of the climb. Well again, the host would be ME. Ok I know some of you are sick of watching me. I told you that you'll get annoyed by me. Well this is not an episode where I reached the top but rather what we did in Laban Rata.

Edit: Ah didn't realize the video is distorted. I will upload another one like soon. And just for those who had watched the entire thing, The last part is absolutely recorded. It is recorded over time span of 10 minutes and not from youtube or whatsoever. Honest.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Sabah: The Climb

Finally! got it done, compressed rendered etc making me work late nights. Yet I still can't seems to get the whole idea of H.264 encoding so gotta live with mpg. Anyhow... The climb!

Warning 1: Watch only if you have 18:47 minutes of spare time
Warning 2: You'll most likely get annoyed by me (as I am pretty annoyed at myself)
Warning 3: It might be a little sluggish to load the vid (hope not)

*Disclaimer*
Some parts of the videos are very choppy because I am not a videographer by nature and I have no patience to edit them. This is as raw as it gets. Some of the clips are just taken to show you the terrain and surroundings. If you plan to climb it, and don't want any spoilers, do not watch!

The Super models Porters of Kinabalu

edit: opps porters not portals (they don't open like gate... although, that can be argued). I am too lazy to change the text in the photos for now. Thanks GG

Ok The climb. Yes the climb. I don't really want to post photos on it because I think it is better in video and yes it is usually slow when I had to work on it. So I shall post about this 1st.

You see, Mount KK isn't really like a comfortable place to access to like Genting Highlands. Climbers will have to make a stop at "Laban Rata" before continuing the journey to the peak the very next morning. And "Laban Rata" is 6KM from the beginning of the trail.

And no, the place is not like camping tents or some poorly maintain place. I am very surprise that the level of complexity of that place. Sure it is basic design but it is very well maintain unlike many resorts in KL.

They have like computers of course for their own usage, huge kitchen area with chefs (almost like Teppanyaki setup) and what nots. They even had electronic LEDs to tell you the temperature which totally left me stupefied. I thought it would be just erm... thermometer.

This (comfort) however, did not appear out of nowhere. A helicopter trip would cost Rm13k per trip. So the company decided that using porters are cheaper since there are people willing to work. And so everything was carried up via porters. Let me introduce to you the super porters!

Ok. this is the easiest job actually, carrying bags. The guy on the right is Felix. He is our mountain guide as well. However because of the shortage of portal, he carried our bag which is like about 15KG. Check out his foot ware.

This is the 1st portal I talked to on the way up.

Me: Bang ni berapa KG?
Him: Ni, lebih kurang 50KG.
Me: 50? Berat tu
Him: Ah boleh la. Perlahan lahan sampai

Yes. Well, he is more than 50 years old. I guessing he had been carrying things for more than 30 years. This is totally insane. needless to say, he reached before we did -.-

Yes we do need gas for cooking, and using it for the heater. I know this is nothing compared to 50KG but still try carrying it and see!

This is interesting. Because the wires are too long so they actually split it to 4 person. Like train. One stop all have to stop.

Yep that should be the roof I assume. Man do they need to carry every single thing???

I suppose so...

Regretfully, there are more porters which I did not photograph because after a while, you just look at them stupefied. There you are. Why you paying so much to climb the mountain? It is because these people depend on you for income. I don't think they are paid well by the way.

Oh yea our guide, Felix, and most of the portal and guides, after bringing us up to Laban Rata, goes back down. They do not stay in Laban Rata because it cost them a whoopoing amount of RM15...... O_o???? The best part is, he has to be back at Laban Rata at 2.30am the next morning. I rather pay the Rm15. But of course these people are speedy gonzales. And probably this mountain is like Bukit Gasing to them. Hah!
