The last weekend, I did something different from just regular service. Instead of using bible to relate to the world, I started with the world relating it back to the bible. I also used a blessed technology - the Powerpoint I am not a powerpoint guy lol.
I talked on the issue on music. Something that is like I can totally do. I do that out of the blue because I've been hearing a lot of music on radio. While it is no surprise that those words are explicit, negative response, it is a shocker that people turn a deaf ear towards it, or simply brush it aside and say, neh~ it's just a song.
Being ignorant is not the key. So after some lookup and brushed up skill, I posted some lyrics to some of my friends to see their response. Their response is usually the same. WAH. WHAT SONG IS THAT? I tell them the song and they are like (0.O)! So I decided to do the topics based on music and culture. In fact I only cover tad much.
But all I can say and believe in at this point is to echo what Marilyn Manson says "Every culture is reflected by its artise". My encouragement to all youth leaders and parents is that hear the youths out. It's not that complicated. Listen to the radio you'll find what is lacking in their lives. Most people love songs that speaks for them. How I know? I was once in adolescences as well.
Needless to say, the culture of today is mostly pointing at sexual fulfillment, selling sex culture, selling body, making sex as just something that is fun and without commitment. Don't believe me? just turn into hitz.fm and listen to the lyrics properly.
In fact, when I show some of the lyrics up on the screen, they couldn't guess it. Much less believed what have they been listening to. We need to educate. Simply because music carries weight and not just entertaining. They do.

He is accused so that you can be excused.
Have you ever apologise on behalf of something you did not do or something you don't know what you did? I did. Most find it hard to do that because it is not only a very hard thing to do but because we are all human. And we don't make mistakes. I always tell people that they should be the bigger person and forgive and forget. But some days it is hard especially when you are constantly being make fun and taken iightly.
That reminded me of how Jesus did it all for us. He apologised for the sins he did not do. He took the punishment for us who are well, sinners.
How hard must it been for him. How great is he a man and loving is he a father. The description that he was nailed to the cross was always gruesome. We all always have this image of him hanging on a perfectly shaped cross, measured and sawed to perfection, sanded down and bought from a furniture stall. Truth is, he was put on more or less a tree bark. Full of splinters or even the surface of tree itself was rough enough to cause further wound to the already skinless back.
Most importantly, the act was not appreciated. Your apologies are not accepted and on top of that, your name has been marked as rotten, spit upon and ridicule. How great is this love that Jesus did.

The Nehemiah's love for home.
We all know Nehemiah is an awesome guy so awesome that under him, he actually build the entire wall of Jerusalem in 52 days. That's erm slightly more than a month. That's like yeah awesome. If you think that the wall he build is just the wall to seperate your house from your neighbour house, then you're so wrong.
The wall is what you normally see in Chinese drama / movie where the it has a gate for people to come in and out. Or think of something like LOTR or medieval kinda stuff where they have battle and everyone needs to charge into.
Of course Nehemiah's wall have been destroyed and erm it is still being digged out. But more than that it is Nehemiah's passion for home that is truly surprising.
I am not going to go through the entire story of Nehemiah here but you can go read it on your own here
But the entire story was that Nehemiah grew up in a different country in fact, his dad and grandfather grew up in other country (As captives and slaves) and when he heard that Jerusalem has no walls, He submitted his annual leave application to the king and went to Jerusalem to build walls.
Thanks to the group presentation on Nehemiah which Jon mentioned something funny as a joke but that joke was really good. He ask how many of us would go back to China now and go rebuild the wall of China? No right?
That's a good point you see. Most of us well at least I would think me won't do it. Afterall we're all Malaysians now although our roots are in China. I am also the 3rd (or 4th) Generation of Chinese that came to this soil.
And that's what stand out in Nehemiah. He went back having a passion for the home that he did not grew up in. Such passion is much to die for.
Now here comes the catch of my point
Whenever I knew people are leaving, I have always (or not) say to them remember where your home is. Of course that being said, I knew more often than not they are gonna go there study and subsequently work there and apply for PR and eventually changing citizenship.
Afterall the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. For one, given opportunity, I don't even know I would return. Of course it is said there is no place better than home but most would just stay on. Afterall they are closer to the culture elsewhere comparing to culture back home.
And I find the below statement true...
So, for my friends who is living overseas now, always remember where home is. And there is truely no place like home.

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.

Angels and Demons (possible spoilers)

Alright, YES! I have watched it after so so so long.
I like the fact that it is way way way better than Da Vinci Code meaning, it is not as 'controversy' as some have enthusiastically brand Dan Brown's blasphemous writing. (Ok, too deep)
As you have already know (or not) Angels and Demons is also one of Dan Brown's carefully crafted book dealing with conspiracy or more so, I think he is in love with something we call the 'secret society' and this time it is a secret society of scientologist seeking to destroy the church or more so, the Catholic church in Vatican City which is the church of all Catholic church.
I like the fact that they combine modern tell tale on the LHC and how they linked the secret society to different churches in Rome and it is just plain awesomeness! Or frankly, I personally like all these treasure hunting movies like bang bang bang
It is rather controversial though because it is a show where the Catholics do not want to be conformed to the world of science which is why they destroyed the scientologist in the 1st place but yet their security systems is so high tech that the archive is made out of some high tech oxygen monitored room and the amount of Sony TV in their Vatican city itself is amazing.
Of course no one actually knows for sure all those stuff exist. It is purely Dan Brown's creation. Well, at lease most of it are. A quick walk though IMDB website clearly shows that it got a lot of facts wrong about Catholism in the 1st place.
This time round, I am sure glad they did not create much of controversial out of it. In Da Vinci Code, Everyone was like BOOOOOOO AHHHHHHH blablabla I personally have several DVD to counter Da Vinci Code.
To quote a friend, and I think she's right. The only one who created controversial about it are in fact Christians themselves. Actually if you watch it as a pure fiction, it is a rather enjoying movie. Of course if you want to go deep into debate on spirituallity then that's another story =)

It looks like there is no end
there is no end as yet to the PAD (People's Alliance Democracy) stupid actions to bring down the government. It a sense, I respect them on the other hand they aren't that democratic as well.
Well I am flying there in 2 months and situation has turn into an interesting look. Their guts are beyond measure as they challenge the government and challenge the PM to step down from being a PM by blocking 2 airports and they have done so for like the past 5 days. They hi-jacked the control tower they seize every operation. Like what the police don't do anything? Yes they don't. Isn't hijacking a crime? Hey you don't step into people's property uninvited.
Times like this, ISA should come out, the Red Lined police should come out the tear gas, massive water canon should be used. Instead, nothing much have been done. Because they are just too peaceful. The Thais are very peaceful people and do not want to use 'force' if necessary. Wow, But they PAD people are getting too overboard don't you think? The consequences of not having the country advancing did they think about? Are you for your own good or for your country's good?
I am all out for justice, I hate corruption as well dude but heck am I going to slow my country from advancing. This one act alone cost billions and cost a lifetime of image building all gone down the drain. The Police are basically erm stupid? Hello go get them out la. But recently there are some bombing incident where PAD are. People are throwing grenades at the PAD people (like you wonder why right?)
And that cost the PAD leaders to negotiate with the police to enhance their security of the PAD protesters like what? dude, you're in the wrong people want to kill you now you want the police to help you out? hur? That's kinda funny because really a few days ago the PAD protesters slowed the police down by barring them, flatting their tyres etc etc and now they want the police to turn around and help them.
The wonders of Thai. Amazing.
In the end, democracy never can be achieved no matter how democratic we are because democracy means without boundries and law which is totaly lawless which is totally free which means it will never come. No not even with OBAMA.

Why they still can't find God?
Alright, for those of you who occasionally use Google.... You might have notice this

That's right, it is the LHC launching day today. What does it do? well, for interest google it! Haha if you're still too lazy for that, don't worry, I find some stuff that probably would interest you.
Anyhow, here's a little video on what it does...
Well not that I am a science student, but it is basically just a very large gun that fires some sort of particles at each other and a computer will record down every data taken from it. Yes! Ridiculous? You judge for yourself! Basically, scientist would argue that this whole universe came together because some gas and other gas came together and BANG it happen lor. Man was made lor Woman also made lor... so keng right?
Where got things so coincident one? Don't believe? Take apart a watch, gear by gear and then put into a box or whatever, shake shake shake and see can come out a watch or not? Hard right? That's why sometimes I wonder these scientist really that smart or not? I mean they are probably pro at add maths, stats and so on right? If they believe in science then shouldn't they also believe nothing is conincident? HAHA.
Back to this LHC... this is basically how it works. But alright if you are lazy again, if they are successful, they will probably uncover some truth about the 'big bang' in small scale but if they are not, it might turn into a very big black hole and swallow this earth with it. Serious. that's what they say...
Stupid. Really Stupid. But if on random note this thing was built here, we sure scream "Eh you waste our taxpayer money again!"
Oh ya. Before I sign out, and you haven't click on any link that i've posted, be sure you check out this website http://hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com/
Maybe he thinks we're are really going to be dead. HAHA

Rebirth of Indulgence
Its really late now to blog and I might talk crap. Pardon me after a whole long day of running here and there and just came back from church. This whole weekend is too overwhelming for my response. I feel joyous and sad at the same time. Probably passion has come back. Oh boy....
It all started when me and my dad was talking about how Catholics are being ignorant, following blindly whatever the father said a few nights ago. No no I am not talking about Catholics now, but rather the ones that I read from Sejarah. The one that talks about how they can buy indulgence for their sin.
And just right after that I walked into the church for a Prayer meet and my heart sank to the bottomless pit seeing how a church with 130 members are supported by 30 members foundation. And some I am sure came unvoluntarily. If I were to draw it out, this is how it looks like...

But that's beside the point that I wanted to make lol. Just feel like getting that out of my head. So happen this weekend also is one of the church's conference in Sunway Pyramid convention center. If you've heard of it, Its EMERGE.
My brother went of it. Well actually he went for a couple of emerge already and it seems from what I hear from him, Its getting worse every single year... Yeah everyone who goes emerge is always saying, 'DUDE you got to go hear it' But sadly from what I hear from them, Its sad that they have gone that far out. Its like growing business. Doing things attracting people to come to service, while I'd agree with that method but the principles are all wrong. wrong. wrong.
This is nowhere to be confirm because I did not personally experience it and only hear it from my brother so I'd probably really confirm and only blog about it once I find out more. But yeah sad to say, they have stray really far away. I am talking about blibically WRONG kind of way. Yet people cheer and clap towards that. My brother too got it all wrong. Though he sorta does not agree much with what the speaker says, he sort of much buy into his 'blibical' teaching.
I know you probably go ??? right now. But I shall continue about this soon after this.
To be continued.

Congrats Datuk Lee...

Img via (the star)
I remember when I was young and still schooling, parents bribe you to study (now situation is much different)
Mom: you get straight A's la I buy you something what you want?
Me: I want SEGA
Mom: SEGA?
We all put our hope on Chong Wei on Sunday night for the badminton's final. I did not manage to watch the match but was really disappointed at the result. I had hopes on him to bring hope to Malaysia. Others are saying... 'you know how much pressure or not he facing?' 'then the crowd factor ler' then this then that 'give him some credit lah'
When asked why he only got SILVER, he only say 'Lin Dan is too quick, he has improved so much' of course that is better way of saying 'oh I did not really improve after the Thomas cup so I kinda slow la' To give him credit he did have silver so clap clap for you.
But how to improve Malaysia's scene where people just settle for the 2nd best everytime? I mean, yala I don't win gold I don't get RM1 million. I get silver only la also got RM300,000 plus datukship somemore. Why do we reward him (SO MUCH) when he did not get a gold? Motivation? 2nd best bribe? This is why Malaysian could not improve, sikit sikit kena spoil. Win something get money, win state championship get money.
Of course you can say Cari makan for sportsman, Look at EPL they all are paid by the millions and gazillions. Well, but they PERFORM! For Malaysians, yes money still motivates us, but it is not like we really have this mindset of working hard for it. We are very laid back. We want money but dowan work. If it was me, you give me RM300,000 I will not appear for training until there is a match coming up. What more, I am a Datuk wei.
So in the end it boils down to our culture again. Do we really strive to be the best or are bribes and 2nd best reward gonna keep us down? Do we have the motivation to get gold when we kept getting silver? Given a chance to play against Lin Dan, do we have the courage to not only play but hope for gold? All these are factors on why we cannot improve in sports. Yes.
Needless to say, being a real genius I am, I did only manage to get a single A. And thus end the story of bribe. I never got my SEGA in the end. I did not even get a silver prize of any kind. Not even a clap, but another year long of lecture.
unPassion to passion
Based on my previous post, I was rather excited for passion and I truly am... well not until that event draw near.
On Ticketing
1st, I am sort of the 'organizer' because I so happen know how to do a couple of clicks and > tada! got tickets. I went through a lot of hassle because dealing with people in the states is not that easy since they kept changing their system that made me really stressed up. Because if I don't do it properly my head will end up in between 'be' and 'ed'
As if it is not tough enough, people then have to ask me to buy for their friends which I do not know... at all. I was doubting whether should I do so or not That's totally cool too I mean I can help and all also la no harm right? Since a couple of clicks is totally easy. But the stress don't end there. Some even ask me to buy for a friend's friend. hur? What is this? facebook entourage?
I was glad that the passes are sold out and thus end my stress. Or does it? A lot people then wanted tickets and like ask me for it. I very malas nak bother them which is not normally me. I would go to the ends of the earth purchasing. This time I just said NO. Reason? I hate lastminuters.
So I was offered 4 extra ticket from a old good friend. K fine, I offer it up la see got any buyers like from my church or something but later found out that the 3 tickets I took up was for their friends. K I am beyond words liao. Nvm la suak la since old good friend got extra don't waste also good.
On 'why need to be there so early?'
This one lagi stress. Walao wei. I ask everyone to be there at 3pm (event start at 6pm, door open at 5pm queue start at 4pm) and all I got for response is
"Do we need to be there at 3?"
"Why need to come so early?"
"I come later la"
Just come at 3 la cannot ar? Actually my initial plan was to go after service, eat there and start camping. But then I thought about it, thinking I am gonna be running around anyway so yea no need that early gua. Yea I know they sent out facebook saying queue starts at 4pm but I've been to alot of concerts already this is my 3rd this year and Yes I do know what a free seating craze look like.
And of course after that expect to sit with us. Well luckily, everyone arrived on time and they manage to queue a little while with us.
So just let them be la come late only wert. Nope, 1st I have to hold the tickets for those that didn't claim. If I leave anyone out, I will feel totally bad because I am incharge right? Yes. A responsibility is a responsibility like it or not.
But yes, if you ever go for free seating, queue at least 3 hours earlier than said time.
On "Thanks for the offer, but I don't need a floor"
I guess this is the last part and the one that really drove me up to the wall. This incident reminded me of a GT concert 2 years ago where we drove Pastor Nirhal up the wall as well. Well, I did make sarcastic remark at that and now I got a 'what you sow you'll reap' effect
Our gang of 30+ members splited into half. Half of them were jam infront of the waiting line cramp up... Half others were not insane to do that so they fall back towards the end of the line where there's ample room of breathing space. I came up very much later because of obvious reason, I decided to go to the end of the line gang because they are still normal whereas the gang infront were already concert high as usual. HAHA
And the door flung open. And that is like the Dam gate has open. So we got seated. And we sat near middle at the side. 1st it was 2 rows behind then suddenly the entire of my row went like forward joining the 1st row =.= Me Joleen and Sandra was left behind on that 2nd row. Then when they finish moving only the ask if I want to join them infront... I was like right. But there was just 1 seat left. I said no thanks. Even if there is 2 I will not move because that would be bad for Sandra to be alone back there. And those know me I don't like to leave anyone behind.
Right so I went and scout around and I saw the front gang in the front row seat. I was happy for them as I could also made some trips infront if I want to take photo then I won't be stared by strangers angrily. Then came the wise decision of a few people which sounded like this...
"Ei you seat on the floor la nobody will care one"
This was not 1 person. This is several person and I am talking about like the entire row of seats belongs to us. Like 15 or something like that all seated down. Then I saw one empty one which I merely just resting my butt on it when the comments come
"Ei that one is so and so's seat you sit on the floor la"
I was totally mad at that point of time. Dah lah I tau I have chosen which position I will be in during the queue, Dah lah you all don't want to researve seats for your less passionate gang back there. Dah lah you all don't want to offer your seat for me but ask me sit on the flooooor? excuse me? This is common curtesy... Don't offer something that is less than good. At that point I was beyond words, smile have left my face. I went back quietly and seated down closing my eyes and just wondered at the people that I have been so called 'leading' (I used so called because I wasn't sure anymore)
I did not make any comments then because then everyone will get up and say "Eh you sit here la" blablabla. I guess it is like what Jesus felt when 1 out of 10 return. Jesus ask "why only you come back? I healed 10 didn't I?" But for my case, it is 0 out of 10 return in this context at least.
Sure, it is concert, and Adrenaline pumping and decision or comments made are not from the brain anymore but a rather a spontaneous action but a spontaneous action is always the one that will show your character the most. Right? Maybe not.
I lost my apetite for photography at that point. I told Jo that after shooting an empty stage that - That is my only shot for the night. I am not going to shoot anymore.
Good thing when the music started I felt way better. But still no photoshoot. I only had my mood back after the sermon to shoot. But that is another story for another day. For now it will be this.

Passion
Streamyx is messed up beyond description. Well, yea. 1st they cut torrent speed then now they even cut google speed and everything with google. Streamyx oh streamyx... don't you know the whole world revolves around google? Maybe it is a government punishing us for criticizing. HAH
Anyway YES HUGE THING is happening this weekend and I super excited can?
No I am not talking about Roy Durman... hehe although he is kinda cute (not physically)
No I am not talking about MTV Malaysian Artist Awards
I am talking about

Oh yes oh yes oh yes. This is dream come true. See they know me no money go US to attend their conference (which we planned to do) so they come here lor. I wish DC*B comes with them but no he is not T.T he did some euro and SA tour though
But anyhow, Chris Tomlin is good enough I suppose haha I am not his biggest fan here but I do like him because of his way of singing and I think he has got the flow. And of course I always prefer his fast song because super rock can?
Yea why am I blogging about this it is because I have read a few places they have toured and it is absolutely amazing! Brazil, Sao Paolo, Paris... And sad to say, we are the smallest venue for the concert yea too bad this is a Hillsong nation passion. I heard Manila (which they are there yesterday) sold 7000 seats, Jakarta, well they oversold so they find a new venue. Here, we oversold but decided that cramp sardin is alright for Malaysians. XD
Anyway, I am thrill to have read the Manila entry ahhhh can't wait. can't wait! I love the idea that the country hosting will have to pray for the next country. Like you know after us is Jakarta so we have to pray for them nice! This bring the whole world together don't ya think? Like better than facebook.
In any case, I am excited about tomorrow. I am not sure whether I can pay attention to service in the morning or not :p
nice! oh gosh. I forgot to ask if I can have a media pass. Oh wait my camera dosen't look like a pro yet. Just need a flash on top then I look pro. JUST YOU WAIT~~

Don't Judge Me!
"I'm sorry that I'm getting on your case, but true friend stabs you in the face"
-Super Trouper, Superchick
Don't Judge Me!
Some how this 3 words always gets me all worked up and my brain overdrive. Over the years I have heard alot of this 3 words occasionally with an added 'Please' in front for more polite manner. Some extremist will even say "only God can judge me!" That is what Ella quoted in the newspaper today. It is often heard when you confront people of wrong behaviour, saying your displease, or just simply telling the truth.
Maybe it is best used when you have no more excuse to give - "Don't Judge Me!" Maybe it is best used when you want to avoid and run from argument - "Don't Judge Me!" Or maybe, we don't like to hear truth about ourselves - "DON'T JUDGE ME"
Can parents judge us?
"Eh boy told you already you always play and don't study no wonder so bad result"
"DON'T JUDGE ME MOM!!!!"
So why do I always get involved and get this 3 words slam across my face? Well, Confrontation is never my cup of tea. Yet somehow I always ended up doing it simply because I had to And often time it always ended when other party says Don't Judge Me! You don't know me! You are not me! Back off! You don't know what happen! Well yeah of course I don't I am not you I am never you so do you want to know what "not you" thinks of you? A simple don't judge me often keeps me quiet after that since I know there is nothing I say will make sense.
Do I like to be judged? I don't really know actually how far my limit does go. But I have never said Don't Judge me to anyone before in my life.
Maybe because... I always believed in open public opinion. I know myself yet sometimes my image to other people is more important than what I think of myself.
What about you? does it offend you when people say Don't Judge Me to you? Just when you tried to tell them some honest words of what you think of them?
Maybe we all love to live in denial, where flowers bloom, with lovey-dovey talking animals as our friends, where tree dances along in the wind and only God can judge. Such is afterlife. ;)
Alright so maybe we all get confuse what is judging, criticizing, correcting, assuming etc... can you make a fine line between all these? Don't really know.
But one thing I do know that by writing this article I can already hear people scream: "EH JOHN you have no right to judge us for saying DON'T JUDGE ME!" If that or any sort of response is to this article, aren't you judging me?

Inconsideration
To think that one is considerate is rare. Today marks a very oddly deep thinking day (yet again) . As my usual Saturday routine, I always go hashing at Bkt Gasing (with or w/o companion) and usually when I go alone that I think the most (duh)
Today I saw 5 owned dogs medium and small ones. It is not uncommon to see dogs during hashing. And it is not the time that argues whether I like dogs or not. But the thing is, it is very inconsiderate because the pathway is very small and some dogs are let loose and the best thing is there are Malay hashes. I mean do the dog owner thinks about them? they can't even touch a tiny BIT else they are unclean. We need more respect with races.
Again half-way through, the bubbly song is ringing in the air. I absolutely hate it. I mean what makes you think I would want to listen to bubbly right now? To have city noise in the JUNGLE is absolutely spoiling. I love the nature sound. If you don't, put on your earphone please. It offended me (kinda) It is unconsiderate and rude.
--------
Back in church. Today is undi '08 and yes there are less than 50% members present and we suppose to call it off but we manage to call and pull somemore people to come which totally is not a good idea because that delayed the meeting to 4:30. Beacause it is a spiritual gathering it seems.
I am fine with that idea as long as they don't push it to next week and cancel youth again. And yes we all prayed for deacon to be chosen but praying every round of voting is hmmmm... Then some "important stuff" seems unimportant like choosing a project leader. No need pray adhoc ask the member to take up the role?
Then we have lowered the percentage of members present to change the constitution no need pray straight change?? Of course you say pray then it takes time la then very late go back. So the family meeting is indeed a long one as usual because in between got advertisment on special pastors and preachers
And the youths! of course when I need help I can't find any well except 2 anyway. Yea
"I am not a member so what for I come?"
"Count ballot can?"
"Dowan la I want to go other place la not free"
"It is youth time wor"
"yah not free"
"k Lor"
Many thanks to those who help out in the balloting and registration. Yeah you know who you are. God bless you.

Church Parliament

And we laugh at our politicians HAH!
Yeap just like my title, I think church is looking more like parliament and it is sad because like parliament most MP gets sideline and simple majority gets the say.
I am currently at my office right now blogging about this. I love the fact that I am alone right now, but my boss walked in just now. How weird. At 12:30AM but after what happen at church, I feel better because I had to solve some client's problem. I feel more comfort here maybe because it is something I think I am good at doing. And I do it well. and had confidence in it
And after all the MP made their case, the usual, nothing really happens. I did not even get to pass my bill, I did not even make a sound. In that case I can't help but wonder. Am I even an MP?

Like half boiled eggs

The thing with half boil eggs you can never get it 100% correctly You never know how long is long and when enough is enough. Like Food business you can never get it wrong. It is either you make or get complain.
The last night of camp was rather tense. Me and Steph were in charge of half-boil eggs to sell to our campers. I went down early to the hall set up everything and start boiling eggs. I never knew how long and thus we kept wasting eggs i think more than 20 eggs goes to waste because it was uncook or too cook. And I kept experimenting till I got it right with the induction cooker but it was too late because there aren't anymore customers left.
However half way through our selling what would go wrong went completely disastrous. The power failed, we burnt many switches, the food delayed angry customers, tensed workers, super tensed head chef and manager. Then something spawn out and more emoistics were born it spread like birdflu and before long it was thick as dark clouds.
I did not caught the birdflu because I stood my ground. But alas, it is time to pack up and call it a night. But during packing, more things happen and I don't like what I see but yet at the same time I am too tired to change it and that's when I was struck down with the birdflu thinking about what have I done and what have I not done? Am I who I thought I am or am I just getting by? Did I begin to light incense in the temple of God like Uzziah did? Did I buy the Syrian armies just like Asa did?
But Just like half boiled eggs you can't really know what are in those little eggs all you can do is guessing about how close and correct you are to getting half boiled eggs. You will never know whether you are correct until you cracked them because outside all you can see is the shell. Raw, half done and cook looks all the same. I tried to talk to the eggs and ask them "Are you done?"but no. Little eggs do not talk. None of them will. In that case I cant help it but wonder - am I a good cook?

Call of Duty
As much as I dislike dogs, they thought me something. A character so hard to find in us humans.
Call of Duty
During the stay in the youth retreat, there is no choice but to live with 8 Adult dogs and 11 puppies. But one dog truly stand out from the rest - Snowbell. A mother of 6 puppies. The Pups were probably 6-7 weeks old.
Because our tour guide for the night jungle trek was injured that very afternoon, We have to go into the jungle ourselves. And I was the leader of my group member, we were the 1st team to get into that forest.
As soon as I stepped towards the starting of the trek, Snowbell dashed ahead of us into that dark forest, I was wondering what she's up to. Was she going back to her home? As soon as my thoughts finished, the 2 puppies screamed and dash towards their mother. Crying in fear. But Snowbell did not stop. She merely pause only to wait for us to catch up. After a while I shouted at her. Snowbell GO BACK. She stood still there. Fortunately her story ends here. She later retrieved her 2 puppies and went back only when another dog replaced her position as the scout and guardian.
Such simple and short moment from which the dog showed us. They have a higher call of duty to above all else to serve humans as whatever position they are put into. To the extend of leaving their young pups. Mind you they are only 6-7 weeks old the most.
What about us? Are we sometimes too comfortably sitting in our home and family? (nothing wrong with that btw) But when the time comes when a higher Duty Call from heaven comes, do we compromise in to our family's disapprovements? complaints? dissatisfactions? or Do we say "Let's get it going"? Give it a thought. What would you do?

What's the purpose?
This generation there is no such thing as living in privacy any longer, The world is connected, The world is not safe anymore. In the reason WWDC07 Keynote, Steve Jobs present a couple of features that are in the latest and greatest OS X Leopard. Some features really suggest that the world is no longer safe, For example, In this function where you can sync your home MAC to any other MAC across the globe using .mac It is simple, It sends your ip from your home PC to a server in MAC and you download it from the other end. See? MAC does get to see your stuff.
In the most reason entry, Wee Ling wrote about blogging personal life and she's not too comfortable with it. But she did bring up if one day she loses her memory, will the blog truly shows who she is? or will it shows another person?
Another blog was locked. For the same reason why bloggers want theirs to be locked. It is private, Not to expose too much to strangers, or acquaintance. But only closer friends able to read thoughts. So what is blogging? What's the purpose? I don't know I never will know why I blog. It use to be my ranting place. I can rant and rant about my life and daily stupid activities, But I changed knowing we're all creating chain reaction. So I blog nonsense, Youtube. rubbish, truth.
I guess the main purpose is I hope my blog can help impact someone else. Are you feeling, so sometimes this might goes a different direction at times... Clueless
And oh btw, I would like to have a Machintosh... With Leopard on it... Can I?

Renewed?
As much as it was a routine camp, it is tiring although I did not even work hard for it. But my mind's filled with thoughts, problems with little solution and idea-less plan at all. I was stuck and still am.
It was less than hundred people in the camp and the youths are far less than last year, I have a lot of duty I know, I have more duty than ever to make sure nothing happens. I know how young and violent youths can get. Oh yeah! bringing back memories of how it used to be. ;) things that are not glorifying to share here.
How was it you say? I would say that's pretty alright, You know during practice for my worship leading, I was really greatly troubled by the troubles that I had. Then I realize that my songs are quite hypocritical for my state at that point of time, which usually happens when I chose song that I don't know why I would choose. Then I realized that those songs are songs of the greatness of God and the goodness.
How can I sing songs like "blessed be the name when I'm found in the dessert place, though I walked through the wilderness blessed be the name?" or Thanking God for His faithfulness, and Our God Reigns? (If I ever sing the verse I'll cry) How could I sing songs like that? But I think God is trying to tell me something. Tough choice.
During the camp, I had the privilege to talk to different individual some serious topic, particularly my room mate, he made me see a bigger picture to tackle some problems that I was facing. Of course I did read my leadership book but I only read a chapter and a half. Due to time constrains and distractions hahaha
Before we go on, just to briefly sum up the worship, was great, the sermon was really awesome, it is not bombastic super revival meeting, but it is very subtle yet painful sermons it is those that make u feel good but stabs you. fellowship? that's normal though alittle HUGE different without PN. Food? Didn't have much appetite to eat at every meal. The workshop is slow but I made a lot of points, hope they benefit someone at least.
This blog is looking depressing, How the camp ended? did I achieve my purpose of relaxing and thinking? a little probably 10%
But I came up with this while I was in it
Keep trying. Keep moving forward. Easier said than....done. Father, help?
I am sorry that I didn't bring much joy to camp, and more joyous news from camp to home. you can visit other blogs there on the right column to see if they update happier news.
To my question on my title "renewed?" That's definately, Next question --> now where do we go from here?
